We have always been plagued with not being able to keep up with Bible requests. We just never can seem to get caught up! From the time we get a request, it usually takes 4-6 weeks to deliver. Our church in Athens, GA has been pitching in and helping us. We are now caught up with over 500 Bibles packed and ready to ship. Our soon-to-be-reached goal is to have 2,000 on the shelf ready to ship at all times. This will enable us to ship a Bible out as soon as the order comes in.

Our booklet “How a Rabbi Found Peace” was printed about two years ago. However they were folded before they were collated. That means that 125,000 pamphlets would have to be put in order by hand before they can be stapled and cut. Several friends have volunteered to help, and we are now getting this giant task accomplished! Soon we will have a huge supply of this fantastic witnessing tool available. Next week we will be setting up tables at a local university to distribute Bibles among the Jewish students. We also hope to stand in front of an Orthodox synagogue on Saturday.

My pastor has been taking Hebrew classes at the Jewish Community Center in Augusta. At first he said that they did not talk to him much until one person invited him to synagogue for family night in December. We are hoping they will let him bring a friend. If so, this could be a great open door into the Augusta Jewish Community. Two men went with me to the synagogue last Saturday. They said that it was very educational and shed new light on what a difficult field Jewish evangelism is. The rabbi talked about how Lot’s wife was supposed to be salt in Sodom & Gomorrah. Instead she became salt as she was leaving. He also asked why Abraham was willing to plead with God over Lot’s family but willingly offered up Isaac. Several other men from my church will be going with me in the coming weeks. You should visit one near you.
