The Lord has laid it on my heart to start a church in Athens, Georgia. There are approximately two thousand Jewish students and faculty members on the University of Georgia campus alone. That does not include all the other Jewish residents in the area. I have already visited a synagogue and located the Hillel group, a Jewish student life center. These two buildings are less than a mile from each other.
In addition to having a large Jewish population, Athens, Georgia is central to Atlanta and Augusta which will allow us to evangelize the Jews in these cities as well. Our goal is to start the church in Athens and eventually continue on to the other two cities. Since September we have visited the area many times to pass out tracts and try to find the right location. We already have our song books and pews. If you have anything else you think we could use to get started, please contact us.
