Bro. Morris Mitchell and the members of Journey Baptist Church have donated pews for use in our church. They have outgrown their building and will be putting up a new church. Dr. K. Daniel Fried, with the full support of his pastor, Dr. Mike Bagwell, has chosen to join this work. Therefore, Messiah Baptist Church is now also the home of The Hope of Israel Baptist Mission. We have already been contacted by three other families who are considering uniting with us to help build this work. To celebrate our one year anniversary in Athens, Georgia we are hosting a youth conference on the campus of the University of Georgia on Saturday, May 12 at 5:00 p.m. We have room to seat up to 700 people. Several pastors in our area have pledged to fill up their church busses to help in this meeting. If you can also attend, please call us for directions.
