The Lord greatly blessed us this week with the birth of our third son, David Aaron Sims. He was born on June 27 at the Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Georgia, and weighed 8 pounds and 4 ounces.

One of the ladies in our church is a delivery tech at this hospital and was able to help with the delivery of our son. She made sure we received extra special care, and we are very grateful. At first, things were pretty scary. When David first arrived, his body was limp.  We had planned to let Sister Fried cut the cord, but the doctor immediately did so and handed the baby to the nurses. He began asking if the mother had been given sedatives. They took him to the clean up table and began to administer oxygen. He was fine, just tired. Praise the Lord.

We have been flooded with support during this time. We would like to thank everyone who called, came by, brought gifts, food, etc. Also special thanks to the Fried family for keeping Isaac and Jacob for a few days for us. This allowed us to relax and adjust without worrying about their care. We know they're in good hands.

Well, without further delay, here is a picture of the newest addition to our family.  Here is David Aaron Sims.
